Assuming the leaderxhip both in Launching social welfare activities and educating social welfare specialists in
Gwangju and Jeonnam area, the Depatiment of Social Welfare reorganizes the gradate course of social welfare in the Industrial
Graduate School into the new Graduate School of Social Welfare in 2002. The new educational system
admits 5 students to the doctoral course and 45 to the master's course(50 in total). It is expected that the the new school
will contribute grealtly to the more sophisticated training of local social welfare workers as well as to the
development of the social welfare field.
